Illawarra will be looking to square their win-loss ledger at 2-2 when they take on Wentworthville at Ringrose Park on Sunday.
The Cutters clicked into gear impressively at WIN Stadium last week with a convincing 50-12 win over the North Sydney.
It was a morale-boosting performance following two losses to start the year.
Coach Scott Logan has named a mostly unchanged side from last week with Drew Hutchinson (five-eighth) and Peter Mata'utia (centre) returning after travelling to Canberra with the Dragons last week.
The Magpies will be desperate for a win after going 0-3 to start the season and will be steered around the park by former NRL regular Luke Kelly.
The Cutters suffered a loss and a draw in the opening rounds last year before going on to win their next seven and prop Jacob Hind said it was important that they carry the momentum into Sunday's match.
"We got a bit of luck early ... a few lucky tries and that can make it easy to brush over a few things that we didn't do well and need to work on,' Hind said.
"Scotty has outlined a few of those things this week as to where we can keep building so that, when we come up against really good sides, we can put in an 80-minute performance.
"We were pretty close against a good side in round one and then were up 16-0 and threw it away so we've given ourselves the opportunity to be in every game but we've just let ourselves down in key areas.
"We rectified that last week with limited errors and less penalties which was pleasing.
"They've named a strong side and they're looking for their first win so they'll be a tough proposition but I think if we show up with our heads on we should get the win."
Hind will earn his second starting berth with the Cutters after making his way to the NSW Cup via Corrimal in the Illawarra Coal League.
He plans to use the 2014 season, in which he earned a Country jumper, as a building block to a permanent place with the Cutters.
"I hadn't played too much rep football prior to moving here and last year was a bit of a taste of that," he said.
"I had a reasonably big off-season.
"I was told I needed to work on a few areas or I wouldn't be in the side so I've worked hard.
"The goal I set myself was to play NSW Cup, so it's good to start the year playing well.
