Independent candidate for Wollongong Arthur Rorris was up and about early to visit polling booths and popped into Mount St Thomas Public School mid morning to cast his vote.
Rivals for the seat of Wollongong, Labor's Noreen Hay and Liberal candidate Cameron Walters both turned up at Berkeley Public School around the same time to do some last minute campaigning before and after they went inside to vote.
Shellharbour MP Anna Watson spent time handing out how-to-vote cards at the Dapto Ribbonwood Centre before voting. She even had time to stop and have a chat with our reporter Andrew Pearson.
Ms Watson says she has her "fingers crossed" she will get to represent the electorate for another term.
"I'm feeling there's a swing back to Labor, which I'm very happy about," Ms Watson said.
"I'm enjoying today and I'm just so grateful to all of my supporters."
