Hill, 24, crashed to the turf during the running of the fourth event and so nasty was the accident the jockeys elected not to go on with the final four races on the program. Hill was airlifted to the Alfred Hospital and while breathing, remained unconscious with tests taken early on Saturday morning.
Head scans were ordered and the results of those test are unknown but Hill remains heavily sedated.
