Manage who shares your photos and posts. Use the audience selector to adjust who you share posts with, to ensure those you intend to can share your photos and statuses. The audience selector tool is under the "What's on your mind" box and features a drop-down menu to let you pick who can see and share your post.
Stop those videos from automatically playing. There is an option to stop auto-play on the desktop and the mobile app. From your desktop select the down arrow in the top right - Settings - Video from the bottom left side menu and then "Autoplay Off".
In case you forget to log out. If you forget to log out of Facebook at a friend's place or at the office, don't worry. From the down arrow on the top right click and choose Settings then choose Security tab. Here, you can choose to be notified via SMS or email if a new computer or mobile device logs into your account. You can also log out remotely by clicking edit next to Where You're Logged In. This will show you where your account is logged in and you can choose End Activity to log out right away.
Block app requests and notifications. The good news is that it's incredibly easy to block any apps that irritate you. Just click that downward triangle icon, choose Settings, Blocking, then scroll to the bottom of the page and enter the names of any apps you don't want to hear from.
Keep your profile private. Go to Settings, Privacy and check all the options listed.
