And it’s coming straight from Russell Crowe.
The actor, who is out promoting new film The Water Diviner, was in a jovial mood for an interview with The Guardian.
And that’s where the Michael Jackson story came up.
As Crowe chain-smoked, he talked about fame being a ‘‘pain in the arse,’’ and recalled that he once was at the receiving end of annoying nuisance calls from none other than MJ.
And it went on for a long time!
‘‘For two or three (effing) years,’’ says Crowe. ‘‘I never met him, never shook his hand, but he found out the name I stayed in hotels under, so it didn’t matter where I was, he’d ring up do this kind of thing, like you did when you were 10, you know. ’Is Mr. Wall there? Is Mrs. Wall there? Are there any Walls there? Then what’s holding the roof up? Ha ha.’ You’re supposed to grow out of doing that, right?’’
No way to confirm it, unfortunately.
Crowe goes on to talk about women, Twitter and negativity.
