After more than two weeks of fruitless searching for signs of missing NSW teacher Sharon Edwards, police have revealed they are now treating her disappearance as a homicide.

For the first time since Mrs Edwards, 55, disappeared from Grafton on the NSW North Coast last month, her husband has spoken publicly about his grief.
"Someone out there must know some little something. I'm just racking my brains out going crazy," John Edwards told reporters on Wednesday.
"It's really out of character ... for Sharon to disappear like this," an emotional Mr Edwards said.
"We just love her and miss her so much."
Mrs Edwards played an afternoon game of tennis on Saturday, March 14, before heading to the Good Intent Hotel in Grafton with friends.
It is believed she then visited a friend's house before heading home.
Her car was later found at her Riverdale Court residence but she hasn't been seen since.
It is understood while Mrs Edwards lives in the Grafton house her husband often stays at a property in Lawrence.
Her handbag, mobile phone and wallet are also missing.
Her disappearance was reported to police two days later on the Tuesday, when she failed to turn up to work at Coutts Crossing Public School.
Mr Edwards said he last saw his wife on the Saturday night and she seemed "OK".
Police have searched the nearby Clarence River, Mrs Edward's home and the Lawrence property, which is owned by Mrs Edwards and her husband of 33 years.
Detective Inspector Darren Jameson said investigators hadn't found anyone with any ill will towards Mrs Edwards, which made her disappearance all the more "baffling".
Police are now treating the case as a homicide.
Inspector Jameson said it was too early to establish a person of interest.
Josh Edwards, one of Mrs Edwards' three sons, said there was nothing the family wanted more than to have her back.
"She was telling me she was the happiest she has ever been after becoming a grandmother and one of her sons was going to get married," Josh said.
"A message to mum - we want you to come home, it has been too long and we love you."
Mr Edwards was supported by his sons as he reflected on the trip to Europe he took with his wife to mark their 30-year anniversary.
