Towradgi had 13 nippers compete in the biggest event on the junior surf lifesaving calendar, with the three-day carnival featuring up to 400 children in each age division.
Sam backed up his gold medal in the under-12s flags last year by convincingly winning the state under-13 flag race.
Sam showed no nerves cruising through his heats and won powerfully in the final.
Sam's under-13s clubmate, Noah Murphy, was attending his first State All Age Titles and was the only Illawarra representative to make the final of the under-13 swim and under-13 ironman.
Noah overcame the frustration of a day's delay with a great swim leg in the final to finish 17th. He also finished top 20 in ironman.
Among the other highlights for Towradgi SLSC, Lucy Murphy made the semi-finals in under-10s swim, finishing a fine 16th.
Balin Munro performed well in all under-12 events.
Balin qualified for the semi-finals in the swim, board and the ironman.
Jazz Munro, who competed in under-9s, qualified for the finals for both the swim and board, and in especially tough conditions for the younger age groups finished seventh in swim and eighth in the board.
Ashton Neall (under-10s) also did well finishing ninth in the beach sprint and eighth in flags.
Ashton's older sister, Paige, competed in the under-12s and made the quarter-finals in flags.
Rani Sossai was a fine ninth in her under-13s beach sprint, while her sister, Lola Sossai, just missed out on a medal, finishing a close-up fourth in the flags, plus an excellent 10th in the state in her beach sprint.
Tom Morgera was top eighth in NSW in the under-13 flags, and made the beach sprint quarter-finals.
Rhyley Ellem, Dechlan Carter and Joe Sossai progressed through a number of heats, and although they missed out on the quarter-finals, they were rightly proud of their efforts.
The nippers and the club wanted to thank a number of Towradgi members for their support in various roles at the carnival, including Tate English, Terry Jansen, Mark McCarthy, Pete Murphy, Paul Munro, Stewart Murphy, Troy Neall and Matt Anderson.
