5.15pm:
4.34pm: Heavy traffic conditions continue at Albion Park Rail with queues of 2km northbound along the Princes Highway. Motorists are warned by Live Traffic NSW to expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.
Northbound traffic has eased slightly with queues on the Princes Highway at Berry down to 6km at 4.28pm. Motorists are still advised to expect delays of up to 35 minutes.
Meanwhile at Unanderra, one of three southbound lanes is closed on the M1 Princes Motorway just past Five Islands Road due to a car breakdown.
3.26pm: Heavy traffic conditions have now reached Albion Park Rail with queues of 2km northbound along the Princes Highway. Motorists are warned to expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.
Traffic on the Princes Highway at Berry is now bumper to bumper with northbound queues of 9km at 3.24pm. Motorists should allow up to 35 minutes additional travel time.
UPDATE: 2.34pm: Live Traffic NSW advises that northbound traffic along the Princes Highway at Berry has increased with traffic backed up for 5km. Motorists should allow an additional 20 minutes of travel time.
Northbound traffic along the Princes Highway at Nowra has eased slightly and is is now queued for 4km. Motorists should allow up to 15 minutes of additional travel time.
At Batemans Bay traffic queues have reduced down to 3.5km with motorists advised to expect delays.
UPDATE: 1.26pm: Heavy traffic along the south coast continued to make the trip home from Easter holidays a drag on Monday afternoon.
At Berry there are queues of 4km northbound and motorists are advised to allow 25 minutes extra travel time.
Live Traffic NSW advises that at Nowra queues have reached 6km northbound with motorists advised to expect their journey to take an extra 30 minutes.
Motorists at Ulladulla are facing 7km queues northbound and should plan on adding an additional 25 minutes travel time.
At Batemans Bay there is heavy northbound traffic with a queue of 5km approaching Batemans Bay bridge.
12.13pm: Motorists travelling through Berry were stuck for an extra 10 minutes at lunchtime as queues snaked back almost four kilometres.
Delays continue through Ulladulla - queues were backed up more than 8km, leaving drivers sitting for an extra 25 minutes.
11.46am: The post-Easter holiday crawl along the South Coast kicked off early on Monday morning, with heavy traffic causing delays from around 11am.
Cars were banked up northbound at Ulladulla and Nowra, queuing back nearly seven kilometres and adding an extra 15 minutes to travel time.
The bumper-to-bumper traffic is expected to hit Berry and Albion Park later in the day.
