The brand new state-of-the-art member centre in Young Street, Wollongong, has drawn positive comments from many members, and chief executive Bob Kotic said the Corrimal branch would soon receive its makeover.
The new image and feel includes new branding, signage and promotional material.
The new member centres will all have a modern, vibrant look. But the main aim is to improve customer service with better interaction through more face-to-face contact.
They are also designed to be interactive learning hubs for members and future members in every community that has an Illawarra Credit Union service.
Mr Kotic said Illawarra Credit Union had also shopped local, with the design developed by Dingopartners and Thomas Creative.
There are no security screens that make staff look like they are bunkered inside a teller's cell. Instead they are mobile and able to greet members when they first walk in the door.
The new member centres also have a range of self-service machines.
The new-look branding and imagery was developed with input from staff and members and was designed to confirm the credit union's commitment to serving members.
"We're proud of our member value approach," Mr Kotic said.
"It's an exciting time for our members, as we continue to improve, stay fresh and expand our product and service offering, as an alternative to the banks."
