Illawarra entertainer Amelia Ryan is returning home with a new show but audiences had better get in quick as the opening night at the Phoenix Theatre is already sold out.
The multi award-winning cabaret darling has followed up her hit show A Storm in a D Cup, with the equally entertaining Lady Liberty, showing at the Coniston theatre on May 1, 2, 8 and 9 from 8pm.
From Bombo to Broadway in New York, Ryan said she got all her trials and tribulations off her chest (pardon the pun), through A Storm in a D Cup.
She is now using her signature blend of scintillating stories, clever parodies, and pop-musical mash-ups to become a lady of liberty.
Critics throughout the country have responded well to the show written and performed by Ryan and musically directed by Steven Kreamer.
The West Australian said Ryan was "talented, effervescent ... of quick wit and soaring voice".
Adelaide newspaper In Daily was just as enchanted saying "I was left wanting more of her fantastic voice and downright hilarious tales".
Colouring the music of artists such as AC/DC, Queen, Pharrell Williams and the Beach Boys with her witty lyricism, Ryan shares her stories through razor-sharp humour and heart-warming honesty, all the while encouraging people to let go, to let live, and be liberated.
