A crew of 24 young Australians and New Zealanders, including Kiama engineer and student Andrew McCullough, recently flew to Spain to join the Young Endeavour for the 21-day passage to Turkey.

"I wanted to challenge myself and do something a bit different, and I want to learn to sail - what better place than the Mediterranean Sea," he said.
"The most challenging thing for me will be coping with seasickness when it gets rough. I'm most looking forward to being at Gallipoli for the dawn service, and the sense of achievement I'll feel after spending three weeks sailing across the Mediterranean Sea," Mr McCullough said.
