KPMG managing partner Warwick Shanks said Artesian Venture Partners managing partner Jeremy Colless would be speaking.
Mr Shanks said his topic would be "Is your business about to be disrupted by innovation? What can you do?"
He said the club that started in 2014 was formed for private business leaders in the Illawarra.
It is held once a quarter with each speaker being a high-profile person who can deliver an inspirational message on a topical subject of interest.
Mr Shanks said it was an invitation-only event that would help showcase a new local venue.
He said spaces would be limited in the new Humber Bar when Mr Colless shared his extensive insight regarding how start-ups are disrupting traditional business models across a variety of industries and why the corporate sector is starting to look at start-ups as a key plank in their growth and innovation strategies.
He said the timing was good for such a talk because the start-up ecosystem in Australia was developing rapidly, with Sydney and Melbourne already ranking in the top 20 of global start-up hubs.
Recent research also showed the Australian tech start-up sector has the potential to contribute upwards of $100 billion to the economy within two decades.
