The march will start at 9.30am from the southern end of Church Street (corner of Glebe Street), past MacCabe Park cenotaph, on to Burelli Street, Kembla Street, and Stewart Street to WIN Stadium for the service.
Chairman of the Illawarra Centenary of Anzac advisory committee and march leader, Peter Poulton, is expecting thousands to gather for the anniversary.
"Gallipoli was our first full-blown conflict, the cream of our youth were wiped out and it's fitting that we remember their sacrifices for the freedoms we enjoy today," he said.
Following a formal welcome, Wongawilli will play a selection of Australian music and a Combined Schools Choir will perform. There will be a tribute to serving members of the Australian Defence Force and a solemn commemoration service.
Flyovers from HMAS Albatross and the Historical Aircraft restoration Society (HARS) will take place as part of the event.
Entry to the service is free.
In the event of wet weather the Anzac Day march will continue but the after-march ceremony will be held at the WEC.
Some CBD roads will be closed for the dawn service and the march. A special event clearway on Church Street will extend between Beach and Burelli streets (both sides) from 1am to 11am.
Special event clearways are no parking zones, even for vehicles with local resident or RMS Mobility Parking Scheme permits.
Church Street will also be closed from Beach Street to Bank Street for assembly of the march, from 7-11am.
