During the past 12 months, museum staff and volunteers have collaborated with the Albion Park and Warilla RSL sub-branches to develop the online exhibition to mark the Centenary of Anzac.
Shellharbour Anzacs exhibition includes stories from the Shellharbour and Albion Park Rifles, the Illawarra Lancers, the Light Horse, the Red Cross, the Waratah March, the Shellharbour City Rolls of Honour and organisations and community groups that contributed to the war effort. Many individual stories of soldiers who fought during WWI are also featured.
The online exhibition will feature collections from Tongarra Museum including war diaries, uniforms, letters, postcards, photographs, personal effects and memorabilia relevant to Shellharbour City.
It can be viewed through the Shellharbour Council's website, shellharbour.nsw.gov.au.
