Since 2010, business owners Tanya Parry and Brook Cheffirs have poured their hearts and souls into their automotive business.
But the husband-and-wife team were still humbled this month when their five-year old business Switched On Mechanical took home the title of Small Business Champion.
Over 1000 guests were in attendance at the Australian Small Business Champion Awards in Sydney on April 18 when the Helensburgh mechanical workshop was named a national leader in automotive services.
"Gaining national recognition as a leader in automotive services is an honour," said Brook Cheffirs.
"I am humble of the unexpected win and thankful that all the hard work and dedication has been recognised at a national title level. To our customers, thank you for your continued loyalty and support."
The locally owned and operated business also saw success at the Illawarra and South Coast Local Business Awards for two consecutive years, winning in the Outstanding Automotive Services category in both 2013 and 2014.
"The Australian Small Business Champion Awards really is the pinnacle of success. To be recognised as one of the best small businesses in Australia, on a national level, truly is amazing," said Tanya Parry.
