On Sunday, April 19, the IAS Cycling Squad participated in Ride 4 Rotary at Unanderra Velodrome. The event raised more than $10,000 for Southern Youth and Family Services.
The event was a fun and easy way for the IAS athletes to be involved and support youth in the Illawarra.
The ride is based on riding in a 30-minute session.
The ride was organised by the combined Rotary Clubs of the Illawarra with all money raised going to Southern Youth and Family Services, which works with young people who experience disadvantage, homelessness and risk of homelessness. In the 2013-14 year, SYFS accommodated 616 young people and provided a range of support services to more than 2500 young people and 1500 families.
