The winter sports season has been affected by Easter, and also Anzac Day falling on a Saturday this year, plus school holidays and wet weather for three April weekends.
Though the forecast isn't totally encouraging, the Football South Coast junior season is due to return to normal this weekend. Football has been particularly hard hit with no games for most kids for three weeks.
All sports have tried to continue training with kids looking forward to matches in popular sports including football, rugby league, netball, rugby union and AFL.
The junior netball season has begun, with players enjoying carnivals ahead of the State Age Championships over the June long weekend.
