Cliff chopped 3.29 seconds off her personal best time to finish 13th in the 15 years girls' 200m backstroke final.
With five overseas swimmers placing ahead of her, Cliff was actually inside the top 10 among Australian swimmers for her age group. Her performance also meant she finished as the second top NSW swimmer in the 15 years 200m backstroke event.
Cliff also swam another PB time of 27.47s in the 50m freestyle, with just one 10th of a second separating 13 swimmers, while she was top 20 in the 100m butterfly.
Meanwhile, her Wollongong clubmate Courtney Lendvay swum exceptionally well in the 12-13 years 200m backstroke to finish 12th overall.
Lendvay beat her PB time by almost two seconds in the best performance by a NSW swimmer. Lendvay was also top 20 in the 400m individual medley.
Astel Gaviglia achieved a personal best in his 100m and 200m breaststroke events.
Jarrod Dyer had an outstanding meet in the boys' 11-to-14 years multiclass age group, finishing top 10 in 10 swims. His older brother Tarren was in the top 10 in all nine of his swims, including third in the 17-18 years 100m backstroke and third in the 100m butterfly.
