With the statewide aim of getting scouts to lend a helping hand in their community, the 1st Dapto Scout Group will be working in Alexander's Cafe in Dapto next Wednesday.
Scout Leader Emily McMahon said money raised from the event would be put into new equipment, jamborees and general running costs.
"Job Week is all about getting out there in the community and helping people in return for donations," Mrs McMahon said. "I contacted Chase Murray, who owns Alexander's Cafe in Dapto with the crazy idea of whether he would let the scouts work in his cafe as a fun thing to do and a new experience for them but also as a way to earn some money for the group."
Mr Murray said he was more than happy to keep his store open two hours beyond regular hours for the scout group.
"They'll be running the coffees out, taking orders off their parents and whatever customers come in during the night and preparing the food," Mr Murray said.
Proceeds from the night will go directly to the cafe, with donations on top of that being given to the scout group.
"Chase is going to be teaching them how to be baristas, teaching the kids how to make the coffees and froth the milk and all that sort of stuff," Mrs McMahon said.
