The joyful clip - set to Taylor Swift’s 'Shake it Off', shows staff and residents getting their groove on as they go about their daily business at homes in Albion Park Rail and Goulburn.
They keep the beat on the bus, wave their walking sticks in the air, gyrate through the laundry and spin past the cafe.
Warrigal posted the clip to social media on Wednesday with a promise: ‘‘we guarantee this will make you smile’’. It has since been shared tens of thousands of times.
Warrigal CEO Mark Sewell said the video was part of the group’s Go Grey in May initiative, designed to counter ‘‘this idea that people should get sadder and quieter as they get older’’.
‘‘At first the residents thought we should use an old song, something from the war maybe,’’ he said.
‘‘But our staff encouraged them to use a current, global, fun song, to break down the generational gap.
‘‘Once they got into it they could see how wonderful it was. It’s created a really strong link to their kids and their grandkids. It’s really gone down a treat.’’
A fleet-footed man in a white cardigan who dances his way across a zebra crossing has proven a particular hit with the clip’s fans.
‘‘That’s Eddie,’’ Mr Sewell said. ‘‘Eddie’s famous now.’’
Other stars include Albion Park Rail resident Kath Hilton, whose husband Ian passed away last year after a debilitating illness.
The video shows her breezing out her front door and twirling around the pole on the landing.
‘‘It’s like I got this music, in my mind,’’ she sings.
‘‘Saying ‘it’s gonna be alright’.’’
