Corrimal's Trent McMillan and Eric Johannes won four matches to claim the Illawarra Zone 16 Champion of Club Champion Pairs crown at Oak Flats Bowling Club.
McMillan and his skip, Johannes, beat Shellharbour major pairs champions, father and son Barry and Paul Peters, 20-16 in a marathon four-hour final last Saturday.
The final was a tactical battle with a number of ends killed and just a few shots between the teams.
Both teams won three matches to reach the decider.
McMillan and Johannes beat Figtree RSL champions Jamie Mitchell and Chris Macauley 22-13 in their semi-final, and also defeated Mark Kesby and Ben Ford (Fairy Meadow) 25-10.
The Corrimal champions beat father and son Warren and Jared Hamilton (Bulli) 21-16 in their opening match.
The Peters' beat Peter McCauley and his father Tom (Dapto Citizens) 28-15 in their semi and earlier had a 23-10 win over the Bellambi father and son champions Bert and Luke Schumacher.
Barry and Paul Peters edged Graham Martin and Ray Parkes (Towradgi) 17-16 in their opening match.
