Kennedy scored the crucial goal that put his side in front on the hour mark and he believes this 2-0 win was City's best performance of the season.
"I guess I was at the right place at the right time. I think I had a few good chances before that, especially that header, so it was building and obviously I was excited and happy to poke one in," he said after the game.
"I thought I was getting closer and closer, those two crosses from Jonny (Jonatan Germano) were brilliant. I think the goal that I scored it was just about being in the right place and that's where I was meant to be.
"It's probably the best game that the boys have dug deep to come away and get a result like we did today, especially after the last couple of weeks that were pretty rubbish. Overall I think it was our best game."
