Krystal Lee Begg was charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm on May 2, following an investigation by Wollongong detectives.
The 21-year-old is accused of slashing a woman's face with a broken bottle during an attack outside Crown Street's Piccadilly Motor Inn on February 13.
During a brief appearance in court on Monday, Begg said she suffered from serious mental health disorders and was not on her medication at the time of the offence.
Her bail hearing was temporarily adjourned to allow her to speak to a mental health nurse while in custody.
A magistrate will determine her application for release on Tuesday.
