The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge announced on Monday that they have named their daughter Charlotte Elizabeth Diana.
The baby will be known as Her Royal Highness Princess Charlotte of Cambridge.
Charlotte is a name with significant royal history. George IV's only child was Charlotte, who died in childbirth at 21. George III's wife was Queen Charlotte, born in 1744.
Elizabeth and Diana, of course, are a nod to the new princess's great-grandmother and grandmother.
Elizabeth is also the middle name of both mum Kate and grandmother Carole Middleton.
The name may prove a costly one for bookies, after a last minute flurry of bets on Charlotte over the weekend.
According to some reports, they face a potential seven-figure payout to punters.
Both Ladbrokes and Paddy Power had the name at 3/1, level with Alice, the previous favourite. One bookie even suspended bets on Charlotte at the weekend after the peak of interest.
