Winds of up to 90km/h are predicted to hit the region early this morning as a strong cold front moves through south-eastern NSW.
The Bureau of Meteorology issued a severe weather warning for the Illawarra and South Coast. Average winds of about 60km/h and gusts of up to 90km/h are expected.
The State Emergency Service warned residents to move vehicles under cover and away from trees, secure any loose items in and around homes, and keep clear of fallen trees and power lines.
