The discussion about the budget is considered important with many small to medium-sized enterprises in particular looking for a confidence boost.
Chamber chief executive Debra Murphy said the latest Business Conditions Survey results recently revealed that business expectations for the economy had deteriorated this quarter and Friday's lunch was an opportunity to stay up to date with the latest changes likely to occur as a result of the federal budget.
Ms Murphy said business leaders were also encouraged to bring their clients along to the important annual lunch, which would be held in the Grand Pacific Ballroom at the Chifley Hotel. "It should be an interesting business budget and we are also doing a social media spin," she said.
Ms Murphy said the event being held by the chamber in conjunction with KPMG and the Commonwealth Bank was close to being sold out.
