Food glorious food will be in abundance this weekend when South Coast Food hosts three Wollongong launch events.
The first event will take place at Wollongong Mall on Saturday from 10am to 1pm. Later that day the non-profit group will run a coffee industry event at Delano's Roastery and Illawarra Brewing from 2-5pm.
The final event on Sunday, May 24, will be held at the popular Bulli Foragers Market from 9am to 2pm.
South Coast Food committee member Justin Bunt said the events aimed to raise awareness of the products in the region and also to sign up South Coast Foodie members.
"We'd love to sign up 100 members over the weekend," he said.
"As a not-for-profit, member-based organisation the easiest way to help is by becoming a member.
"It should be a great weekend.
"We'd love for people to come along and support South Coast food producers and sample products at our vintage food van."
South Coast Food was established in 2012 to offer connection, education and marketing opportunities for all food-related businesses on the South Coast.
Mr Bunt said the mission was to develop the South Coast Food brand as a well-recognised, quality food provenance identity helping to create awareness of the South Coast and its food products.
