Illawarra Blue stars junior athletes collected a host of awards for an outstanding season at the club's presentation recently.

Sixteen-year-old Steven Harriman edged out a number of the club's leading open men sprinters in being awarded Male Sprinter of the Year.
Harriman had a top season and, if not for injury, would have competed in the Australian Youth Championships.
High jumper Celeste Sulerzyski, 15, and senior open long jumper Talissa Scott were co-winners of the Jumper of the Year, with promising shot putter Blake Meyer taking out Thrower of the Year, following top-class performances in both country and state titles.
Seventeen-year-old Joshua Bell was rewarded for his efforts by being named Ideal Club Man, with under 12-year-old athletes Trey Barlow and Charlotte Smith awarded Juvenile Athletes of the Year.
Junior athletes dominated the Encouragement awards with the club acknowledging and supporting a group of talent young athletes.
Sprinters Josh Park and Emma Reynolds won track honours, with Marie-Louise Meier taking the field award and her brother Beni also sharing the field award with long jumper Kate Lewis.
Thomas Cleverly (under 12s) won the overall mens points score and Most Promising Distance Athlete for the Year, with Alana Yearby the women's points score winner.
Blue Stars' juniors claimed a significant share of the top awards in a top sign for the future at South Coast's oldest athletics club.
Meanwhile, all juniors are welcome at Blue Stars' Winter Track and Field which runs the fourth Sunday each month, beginning this Sunday at the Kerryn McCann Athletic Centre.
The winter meets are open to all athletes.
