The University of Wollongong continues to out-rank and out-shine its bigger counterparts in terms of students’ overall experience.
The university was yesterday recognised for top marks in teaching quality, graduate satisfaction and positive graduate outcomes.
It’s a fantastic feather in the cap for a little university with big dreams.
To receive coveted five-star ratings in the 2013 Good Universities Guide is recognition of all who have contributed to the university over many years.
And to make the achievement even more incredible, it is the 13th consecutive year that the university has achieved the top rating in full-time job and graduate outcomes.
It is further proof that Wollongong is cementing its place among Australia’s elite universities.
It also shows that the university has the students’ best interests at heart – after all, that is its core business.
It’s all very well and good to produce high-quality research, which no doubt helps to attract students and academics, but the success and achievements of students must be the focus.
As the region’s year 12 students undertake their last few weeks at school ahead of their HSC exams, it is reassuring to know that their home-town university offers them the best experience and outcomes they could possibly wish for.
