The non-profit organisation supports vulnerable children and their families across southern and western NSW through programs such as Foster Care, Family Choices and Aunties & Uncles.
CareSouth chief executive Deb Tozer said there was a range of options for people "considering making a difference in a child or young person's life".
"There is an urgent need for families to provide long-term, short-term and respite care for eight to 15-year-olds, for primary school-aged sibling groups and also for children with disabilities.
"Our Aunties & Uncles Volunteer Carer program is another great way to get involved and help strengthen families in our community.
"Foster Care provides support and care for children and young people who can no longer live with their families. Carers can provide short-term, long-term or respite care depending on their circumstances.
"CareSouth's Family Choices program supports children with a disability and their families by providing respite care in the carer's home."
Program manager Rhonda Miller said the time commitments for Family Choices varied from one day over a weekend, to one weekend a month, to extra time during school holidays.
