With the finals hopes of Super Rugby's Queensland Reds long gone, most of the interest will be on Cooper as he tries to bounce back from his second serious injury in what has been a forgettable season.

He is now left with just three games to convince Wallabies coach Michael Cheika of his worth for the abbreviated Rugby Championships before the Rugby World Cup later this year.

Cheika has Waratahs playmaker Bernard Foley firmly installed as his No.10 but remains a fan of Cooper, who could yet play a leading role in the Wallabies' campaign if he can string some games together.

Also weighing on Cooper's mind is a decision about his future. He has the option of taking up a lucrative deal with Toulon, but remains in negotiations with the Reds and the Australian Rugby Union.

Reports of him leaving to play in France are premature at this point, and Cooper has little desire to leave home soil. But a number of factors remain to be agreed between the parties, and the financial incentive to shift to Toulon could yet be overwhelming.

Cooper has played just two games in 2015, missing the start of the season with a broken collarbone, then breaking his scapula one game into his return. He has not been sighted since Good Friday.

But coach Richard Graham, whose future will come under review as the QRU convenes a committee to examine its performance and pathways structure, said the No.10 would be ready to hit the ground running.

"He's been back training with us for about three or four weeks. He looks very comfortable with ball in hand. We're very clear in the way we want to play and he'll lead the team around well," Graham said.

"In his position we haven't had a lot of continuity. He's a class footballer. The group are excited to have him back this weekend."

Rugged flanker Beau Robinson will also play against the Force, in his first game of the season after tearing his calf before round one. Karmichael Hunt retains his spot in the centres, while rookie playmaker Jake McIntyre will back up Cooper from the bench.
