Nabbing a seat on the bus might be a little bit easier from Monday morning for many commuters in Sydney's west, with 315 extra Hillsbus services and a new route from Blacktown to Parramatta to begin this week.

The new 706 service operating between Blacktown and Parramatta via Kings Langley, Winston Hills and Northmead will provide 175 buses every week, with the first to run shortly after 6am on Monday morning.
Existing Hillsbus routes will also get 140 extra weekly services during morning and afternoon peak periods.
The popular M60 route between Castle Hill and Pennant Hills via Cherrybrook will get 40 extra trips every week. The T63, T64 and T65 routes between Rouse Hill and Parramatta will each get 20 additional weekly services, and the 617X and 607X routes between Rouse Hill and the City will also get additional services. The 601 route between Rouse Hill and Parramatta will get five extra trips every week during peak times.
"As key employment hubs in Sydney's west and north-west continue to grow, the NSW Government is determined to ensure the public transport services are in place to help people get around," Transport Minister Andrew Constance said.
More than 12,000 extra weekly bus services, 1700 train services and 220 ferry services have been introduced since 2011, according to the government.
