The undead will rise and take over Wollongong, Dapto and Corrimal libraries on July 7 - but only for fun.
The libraries are hosting zombie film classes as part of Wollongong City Council's bumper school holiday program.
Children aged eight to 13 can learn how to make their own zombie films with this hands-on workshop, feeding off the popularity of movies such as Shaun of the Dead and TV series The Walking Dead.
Other activities offered at Wollongong libraries include Lego Science, a sci-fi film workshop, electronic cards, brush bots and sci-fi storytimes.
Bookings are essential by calling the relevant branch or go to wollongong.nsw.gov.au/library.
Warrawong Library is also holding a '60s theme open day on July 6.
Wollongong Central, Westfield Figtree and Warrawong shopping centres are all offering school holiday activities.
Wollongong Central is hosting the Toy Brick Lego Show weekdays from 9.30am-5pm until July 5, featuring more than 100 super-sized Lego displays, as well as Lego building tables, competitions and prizes.
Westfield Warrawong has an ice skating rink inside the centre, which is open 10am-2pm daily until July 12. Entry is free.
There will also be free Let's Experiment science stage shows until July 3.
At Westfield Figtree, children can watch live Mr Peabody and Sherman stage shows daily at 10.30am and 12.30pm until July 10.
