The Illawarra Hawks have announced former captain Oscar Forman as their their latest signing for the looming NBL season.
Forman agreed to terms with the club and put pen to paper earlier this week, with the Hawks announcing the news via media release on Wednesday morning.
He joins former teammate Rhys Martin and big centre AJ Ogilvy on the playing roster for 2015-16.
"I'm excited to get stuck into pre-season training and start preparing for what will no doubt be an exciting season for the club and its fans," Forman said.
The signing of respected coach Rob Beveridge last Monday was a key factor in Forman re-committing to the club.
"From talking with Bevo about roster plans and looking ahead to the season I'm positive we can field a team that will reward the Illawarra community that have stuck with us through the years," he said.
Forman led the league for three consecutive seasons in three-point accuracy, and shoots a career average 43 per cent from long range.
Beveridge is rapt to have Forman on board.
"Oscar is arguably one the best three-point shooters that the NBL has seen," Beveridge said.
"I vividly remember the headaches that he caused as an opposition coach with his ability to knock down the three."
The Hawks are hoping to announce more player signings in the coming weeks.
The NBL season is due to tip off in October.
