Let's hope last Saturday's Wolves reunion can become a regular thing.
With so much history involving the club across 35 years, it was great to celebrate with players, officials, coaches and fans from the past and present.
Without hearing about what the club has achieved up to the present, it would be easy to forget everything this great club has accomplished.
The stories of the old days make you realise how much the club has endured across four decades and provides some valuable bits of history about the Wolves' journey to now.
Speaking to many people on the night, it was unanimous the occasion was long overdue.
Bringing together young and old faces isn't something that often happens in the football community, so hopefully this sort of thing will continue to grow into the future.
To finish the evening, it was also great to hear the news the club will be reverting back to the "Wollongong Wolves" name after five seasons as the South Coast.
The occasion was a fitting way to spend the week off football.
With six games remaining in the campaign, we must keep our focus on finishing off the season as high up the ladder as possible.
The boys have had a well earned freshen-up and will be raring to go this weekend when we face Parramatta.
Despite their position on the ladder, the top division's newest team are far from easybeats.
Bert Bampton decider
Dapto Dandaloo and Wollongong United will make for a terrific decider in the Bert Bampton Cup.
The Fury set their target of winning every trophy on offer in 2015 and kept themselves in the running by dispatching the Blueys last weekend.
To secure a rare sweep of the trophies would be a magnificent achievement for the club, but they will have their work cut out getting past an in-form Wollongong United.
The Reds picked up the silverware last year in a nail-biting decider against Port Kembla and they will be keen to defend their title next month.
