Bulli extended their unbeaten streak to nine games with a 2-0 win over Wollongong Olympic on Sunday.
The defending premiers haven't lost in the league since May 9 and have risen to the top of the competition on the back of five successive victories.
Olympic were their latest victim in a hotly contested encounter at Balls Paddock.
Tobin Zoomers opened the scoring just 11 minutes in before Ben McDonald added his 23rd goal of the campaign in the second half.
"It was a good win in a tough old game," Bulli coach Ben Smith said.
"At this time of year the pitches are pretty sparse in terms of grass which makes it a physical sort of game. They are a big side so it made it pretty physical.
"We matched them in that regard and were able to play a bit of football as well.
"To be fair, there wasn't a lot of chances but we created enough to get a couple of goals and get the win."
Zoomers' goal allowed Bulli to relax early in the contest.
The former Fernhill midfielder took a ball from McDonald on the chest and drove into the box before finishing very nicely into the bottom corner.
McDonald doubled the dose just after half-time when he got his boot to a loose ball in the box.
"We started off pretty well but lost our way a little bit after we scored the goal ... we had to match their physicality," Smith said.
"We got that together in the second half and played a bit more football again.
"The boys then produced some good patches of play.
"Nothing in particular stood out in the performance ... just that against one of the bigger teams in the league who were in a bit of form.
"It was good to match them and stick to our guns and play the way we want to play. That was pleasing."
The result ensures Bulli stay top of the competition for another week.
They hold a three-point advantage on Dapto-Dandaloo, who still have a game in hand following a 6-1 thrashing of South Coast United on Sunday.
Bulli's quest for a second straight title will be tested over the next month with matches against Wollongong United, South Coast, Tarrawanna and the Fury scheduled.
In other matches on Saturday, Wollongong United and Tarrawanna shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw.
Wandi Jajaw scored first for the Blueys before Sang-Yu Park equalised shortly after.
Nathan Mucci, Ben Ellul and Tyler Fuller-Broham all scored in Woonona's 3-0 win over Bellambi while Port Kembla beat Albion Park 1-0 and Shell Cove drew 2-2 with Cringila Lions.
