But Labor frontbencher Anthony Albanese has done one better, with a micro brewery naming an ale in his honour.
The "Albo Corn Ale Beer", crafted by the Willie the Boatman brewery in Mr Albanese's Grayndler electorate, was officially launched on Friday night, with the former deputy prime minister in attendance.
Local craft brewer Pat McInerney and his team at Willie the Boatman in Tempe spent the past two months perfecting the Albo Ale, to the surprise of its titular inspiration.

"I had no idea they were naming a beer after me until I started seeing all this stuff floating around on social media about 'Albo Ale'," Mr Albanese said.
"Then I discovered what it was, and they asked me to come along to the launch," he said.
The microbrewery described the drop as having a "clean and fresh palate, full bodied and packs a punch".
"It's a good drop," said Mr Albanese, who has no commercial interest in the brewery.
"It's in a long neck bottle, which I like. I'm old school," he said of the beer that will be be sold at local pubs in the federal MP's heartland of Sydney's inner west.
The federal MP is in good company. Willie the Boatman's craft beers are named in honour of much-loved locals, like the Foo Brew, a golden ale named after local plumber Hamish Foo, and The Bulger, in remembrance of local activist and Labor party member Peter Bulger who recently died of brain cancer.
Mr Albanese knows the heady effect skolling a beer can have on the voting public.
Mr Hawke wrote in his 1994 memoir that downing 2½ pints of beer in 11 seconds at Oxford in 1955 endeared him to some of the Australian public "more than anything else I ever achieved".
Albo himself skolled a can of Mountain Goat beer in June to the delight of onlookers at Melbourne's Community cup.
"Australians like a beer. It's part of our culture as long as it's enjoyed safely in moderation," he said.
