The awards received a large number of public nominations.

Standards and dedication to customer service experienced during this year's anonymous judging were high quality, according to Illawarra and South Coast Local Business Awards event manager Steve Loe, of Precedent Productions.

Mr Loe said, not only was there a strong response to entering the awards, but interest in attending the awards ceremony was so strong it was a sell-out.

He said a capacity audience of more than 430 local business people, sponsors and dignitaries would attend on July 29.

"Seeing the enthusiasm of the businesses, customers and community for this year's Local Business Awards has been very rewarding," he said.

"The enormous number of customer nominations in support of their favourite local businesses, and fantastic reports from the anonymous judges, show me that the local businesses of Illawarra and South Coast have a quality which is worth taking pride in.

In 2014, Skin Correctives was named Business of the Year.
