An Illawarra man accused of wielding a knife in the Crown Street Mall, prompting a foot chase by police, has had his case adjourned to September.

Nathan Primorac appeared briefly in Port Kembla Local Court on Tuesday via video link, where prosecutors said his case had been referred to the Director of Public Prosecutions for consideration.
It is alleged Primorac pulled a large knife on a group of police in the mall on July 21 and verbally threatened them.
Three officers drew their firearms and used capsicum spray in an attempt to stop Primorac but it appeared to have little effect on him.
Primorac then allegedly fled westward, with officers in pursuit.
A cabbie attempted to stop Primorac however he evaded the driver and ran towards the train station, where he was eventually subdued using a taser, police allege.
Primorac was charged with seven offences including assaulting police and using an offensive weapon.
He did not apply for bail on Tuesday and it was formally refused until his next court appearance on September 2.
