Culburra junior Buckpitt and Shell Cove's Rogers were third and fourth respectively in the girls' under-12s division in the top state event for under-14s grommet surfers. In a hotly contested girls' under 12s, Banora Point's California Barrett edged out Collaroy's Gabi Spake in the final.
In difficult one-foot waves, George Pittar (North Manly) won the boys' under 14s with a near perfect 9.43 score.
Cedar Leigh-Jones (Avalon) dominated the girls' under-14s division, with Winter Vincent (Manly) winning the boys' under-12s final. The three-day championships featured many Illawarra and South Coast juniors in the field of more than 120 competitors.
The qualifiers for the NSW Grommet Titles were determined through nine individual regional titles conducted earlier this year.
The NSW Grommet Titles follow the NSW Junior Surfing Titles, with Narrawallee's Rubie Reents winning the girls' under-18s division, edging out Coalcliff's Billie Melinz in the final at Middle Rock Beach, Lake Cathie.
More than 350 talented juniors competed for boys' and girls' state titles in under 16s and 18s divisions to book spots for the Australian Junior Surfing Titles at Stradbroke Island in November.
Top Bulli junior Keanu Miller finished fourth in the state boys' under 16s category.
