Bemet and Martino will draw on these qualities, and their exquisite technique, to perform the famous Black Swan Pas De Deux from the much-loved ballet Swan Lake at the Illawarra Performing Arts Centre on Friday and Saturday.
The pas de deux, set to Tchaikovsky's score, is one of the showpieces of Swan Lake and features a series of dazzling fouettes (a fast turn with a raised leg).
The pair of professional ballet dancers are guest artists in a triple bill performance by The Dancers Company, comprised of final-year students from The Australian Ballet School.
The program will include a traditional version of Swan Lake's Act III, Paquita and Rimbombo.
Bemet, 21, was accepted into The Australian Ballet company in 2012. She is an audience favourite who has twice been selected as a Telstra Ballet Dancer Award nominee (in 2013 and 2015).
Bemet said Swan Lake was one of her favourite ballets and she was relishing the role of Odile.
"It's a very challenging role but also an amazing opportunity," she said.
Bemet and Martino will also dance the lead roles in Paquita.
The Dancers Company is taking the triple bill of ballet gems to regional areas in NSW and Victoria.
The Dancers Company will perform at the IPAC on Friday evening, Saturday matinee and Saturday evening. Tickets ranging from $29-$72 are available through merrigong.com.au.
