Buses were replacing trains due to the partial closure of the line between these stations but the line is now open and trains are running as normal.
The Transport Management Centre (TMC) say trains have resumed between Wollongong and Unanderra, but are still not running between Wollongong and Port Kembla on the South Coast Line.
Emergency services remain on site near Coniston due to a trespasser on the tracks.
Buses will replace trains between Wollongong and Port Kembla.
The TMC say passengers should allow additional travel time, listen to announcements and check indicator boards.
