The Climb was based on candid and personal discussions held with 14 women leading the way in fields as such as business, politics, religion, education and the armed forces.
The Illawarra Mercury will share some of Doogue’s thoughts about women in leadership on Thursday and is interested in knowing who Illawarra residents think the most influential women are in the Wollongong, Shellharbour and Kiama area.
They can be women living and or leading in the region, or women who have grown up in the area and are making their mark further afield while still calling the Illawarra home.
We will publish the top five on Thursday.
Doogue became one of Australia’s most famous female radio and television broadcasters after originally planning a career as a schoolteacher.
