With the passing of every year comes the least wanted arrival - yearly increases in our bills.
We are blessed to have an independent authority, appointed by a government body, which "determines the maximum prices that can be charged for certain retail energy, water and transport".
My question is how are the public ever going to have an independent voice when the government asks and receives outrageous increase in utilities?
Some workers are lucky to get a 4 per cent rise in wages while this authority sees fit to increase some 100 per cent over five years.
Now we see that the government wanting to help the citizens breathe easy. Well, this sucks.
It's hilarious how we are charged the maximum and not the minimum.
