The words of Kyarna Cruse are among dozens of tributes that have poured in for Georja Balfour, the 15-year-old girl killed when a car driven by her brother hit a tree in Port Kembla early on Monday.
Two Facebook pages set up in the teenager's honour have garnered more than 2000 "likes" and a Go Fund Me page, set up to help cover cost of her funeral, had raised almost $1500 of its $5000 goal late on Tuesday.
"I personally don't know Georgia [sic] but a death is hard and the cost of it is even more so painful," Sandy Fisk posted to the online fundraising page. Emma Dwyer wrote: "Rest in paradise Georja, fly high beautiful".
As floral tributes continued to grow at the scene of the accident on Tuesday, many also expressed their sentiments on a special tribute page on the Mercury website.
"Rest in peace beautiful baby girl!! I'll never forget the smile and laugh that so brightly lit up my childhood, and all the great memories we had playing footy together," Caitlin Taylor, from Warilla, wrote.
Others shared memories of a little blondie who would run amok at the football field and a "beautiful young lady who had her own unique stature".
"We have had the privilege of knowing and seeing you grow for the past 15yrs ... and we now pray for your peaceful and final journey," Anna Drakos, of Port Kembla, posted.
Georja was the front-seat passenger in the Holden Commodore that crashed on a sweeping right-hand bend on Flinders Street about 12.45am on Monday. Initial police investigations suggest speed may have been a factor.
Her brother, 19-year-old James, sustained life-threatening injuries and was flown to St George Hospital in Sydney. Late on Tuesday, his condition had improved slightly to serious but stable. A 16-year-old boy, in the back seat, was in a stable condition.
