St George Illawarra coach Paul McGregor admits forward Jake Marketo may be facing a stint on the sideline for a lifting tackle during Thursday's win over Penrith at WIN Stadium.
Marketo was one of three Dragons players placed on report during the lacklustre 19-12 victory, which ensures the club's finals dream remains alive.
He was penalised for lifting Panthers big-man Lelani Latu in the 48th minute, and the latter was forced from the ground injured and couldn't return.
Fellow Dragons forward Tyson Frizell could also be in strife for tripping Penrith fullback Will Smith as the Panthers attacked their tryline in the first half.
Frizell stuck his leg out as Smith ran through for support, and the former was placed on report.
Rookie centre Euan Aitken was reported les than two minutes later for a dangerous tackle on Tyrone Peachey.
Of the three incidents, McGregor believes Market's is cause for concern.
"I saw Jake's, it doesn't look great," McGregor said post-game.
"I'm not sure about Tyson's, and definitely a question about Euan's as well.
"Certainly one of them has a question mark over, where the bloke (Latu) went off the field."
Penrith coach Ivan Cleary would not comment on the three reports.
Panthers captain Jamie Soward, however, took offence at the suggestion Frizell's and Aitken's reports were "unusual".
"Put his knee into his head, Peachey's neck got bent over to his chest," Soward said.
"What's unusual about that? It's a dangerous position, it's on report."
Frizell is in danger of missing next week's trip to the Gold Coast thanks to the 75 carryover points he holds from an incident back in round six.
Frizell copped a two-game suspension for a high shot on Canterbury forward Tim Browne.
He pleaded guilty to the charge but went to the tribunal to fight the grading, and lost.
It was a dire affair on Thursday night as 9000 supporters witnessed one of the scrappiest games of the entire season in Wollongong.
Only a second-half Benji Marshall field goal and a late Gareth Widop try could separate the two teams, both of whom struggled to complete a set all night.
"It was a scratchy win, but it was a win and we've won three of our last four and that's really important," McGregor said.
"It keeps us alive, we push that aside now and we look forward to Titans."
The victory over Penrith pushes the Dragons into seventh place, ahead of the Bulldogs on percentage.
If both Canterbury and Manly lose this weekend, the Dragons should hold onto seventh.
