Guys having a mid-life crisis are known to occasionally splash out on a sports car.
The average Joe though would struggle to buy the red Ferrari 458 Speciale seen in Wollongong last Friday.
The Italian car, which sells for more than $550,000 new, was one of 12 luxury cars taking part in the 2015 Bullrush Rally which dropped by the city on September 4.
The Ferrari 458 Speciale in the rally features a $52,000 custom paint job.
Luxury sports cars such as Lamborghinis, Lexus, Porsche and Mercedes-Benz also spent just over an hour parked at North Beach car park before their owners drove off to complete the next leg of the rally.
Co-founder Cameron Hystek said the rally was Australia's ultimate road trip. The 2000-kilometre super road trip down the east coast of Australia started in Surfers Paradise on September 1 before drivers headed to the Hunter Valley, Sydney, Canberra and Melbourne.
"It was founded on the principle of uniting like-minded individuals in a shared pursuit of adventure and unforgettable experiences," Mr Hystek said.
The five-day road trip was designed around charity.
"The Bullrush Rally proudly supports the Starlight Children's Foundation. We hosted a charity auction night during the Sydney stopover on the Pontoon vessel in Sydney Harbour."
