The film shows Nowra librarians singing their own version of Bohemian Rhapsody, one of the greatest hits of British rock band Queen.
One of them is Mr James’ girlfriend Carla De Casti.
“She told me what they were planning on doing and I slyly said ‘who are you going to get to fllm it?’,” Mr James said.
When he travelled down to film it he found the librarians already knew what they wanted to do.
“They’d recorded the music in the studio,” he said.
“I had a CD of that in the CD player so we could get the lip sync going.
They had most of it worked out. I just had to figure out the right camera angles for it.”
He said it was “pretty awesome” to have been involved – and now it has been seen by Queen’s Brian May.
