The Sky Blues are in Wollongong to face the Stingrays at WIN Stadium in a pre-season trial, but Cooper along with several of her teammates are also set to clash with the club later this year.
Four players of the Rays’ squad will line up with Western Sydney Wanderers in the 2015-2016 W-League season.
Wanderers’ talent Cooper, Michelle Carney and Jordan Baker will this year be joined by Erica Halloway.
"When it comes to Sydney FC and the Wanderers it is definitely a battle there. Hopefully we can get a good result this Friday night with the Stingrays and later this year with the Wanderers," Cooper said.
The game is the curtain-raiser to Sydney FC’s re-season clash with Wellington Phoenix.
"It is a great opportunity for our young ones to show what they have got against the W-League girls of Sydney FC. It will be a good atmosphere and show that they can compete,” Carney said.
