Also making the final was The Meatery.
The win comes 18 months after Harbourfront Restaurant proprietor Angelo Scioscia converted the bottom section of the three level complex from a function room to a restaurant.
Mr Scioscia wanted to do something different and opened up the space.
In doing so he has created more jobs.
‘’We now have 18 chefs and 55 wait staff,’’ he said.
It has gone so well levelone @ harbourfront is now open for breakfast on Saturday and Sunday from 7.30am.
‘’That going well too and we will continue it through summer,’’ Mr Scioscia said.
‘’I’m really happy with how everything has gone and two new Wollongong restaurants making the final is really good for the town.’’
Mr Scioscia said it was great how people had responded to him introducing something new.
